Mr. Faily observed the process of restoring and maintaining the Iraqi Jewish Archive and discussed final phases of the repatriation of the Archive to Iraq.

On Saturday May 5th ( 2018), the Embassy of the Republic of Iraq to Washington DC will have the honour to join more than 75 other nations participating in Passport DC, opening its doors to the gracious public and the Iraqi community in the USA during Around the World Embassy Tour.

The Embassy of the Republic of Iraq, in cooperation with the Iraqi Ministry of Culture, Tourism, and Antiquities, and the Iraqi Children Foundation (ICF), will hold an art exhibition for children (6-12) years old, on Saturday June 8,2024 (3:00 -6:00 pm) at the Embassy.
Please send two paintings for your child (40 x 50 cm), including the child’s name, age, and phone number, to the address of the Embassy (1801 P Street, NW, Washington DC, 20036), no later than Monday, May 27,2024.
The Embassy will select (30) child to participate in the exhibition.

The Atlantic Council hosted Ambassador Nazar Al Khirullah on July 26 in a seminar attended by a number of senior researchers and experts specialized in Iraqi affairs in Washington, where H.E. shed light on the priorities of the Iraqi government at political, economic & security levels, and the prospects for cooperation between both countries according Strategic Framework Agreement SFA, so as to achieve common goals and interests for Iraq & US .

"...the Mesopotamian marshes are starting to flourish again as a result of Alwash’s advocacy. Almost half of the original area is now flooded again, and the Sumerians have begun to reestablish their lives. In what is perhaps the most telling evidence of his success elevating the importance of the environment in Iraq, the restored marshes are slated to be established as the country’s first national park in the spring of 2013."

Humanitarian assistance will include fuel, food and medicine.

The third annual exhibit represented a success not only for the women artists, but also the triumph of beauty and art over the violence and darkness of terrorism.

UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon expressed his appreciation that Iraq continues to deposit a percentage of its oil revenues to the Compensation Fund, in accordance with UN Security Council resolutions.
