His Excellency Prime Minister Adil Abd Al-Mahdi in a phone call with the Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan expressed his sincere condolences to the Turkish people over the attack on the Turkish Consulate in Erbil, Voicing his deep sorrow and condolences to the family of the Turkish consul's assistant and the victims of the criminal incident.
His Excellency Prime Minister confirmed that Iraq's pride in Iraqi-Turkish relations, keenness to protect the diplomatic missions operating in Iraq and reject any aggression against them and this crime cannot affect the fraternal and deep relations between the two countries and the two neighboring peoples, Pointing out that the security services continue their investigations, determined to reach criminals and bring them to justice to receive their fair punishment.
For his part, The Turkish President commended the Iraqi government's position and follow-up to the attacks to uncover the details of the terrorist attack and to account perpetrators, underscoring that terrorism will not succeed in achieving its goals, the two countries continue cooperation against terrorism, As well as to develop bilateral relations in all fields.
