His Excellency Prime Minister Dr.Haider Al-Abadi met, today in his office, United States Secretary of Defense James Mattis and his accompanying delegation.

They discussed strengthening the collaboration between the two countries in the field of training and arming, as well as war on terrorism, victories achieved against the Daesh by Iraqi Armed Forces.

His Excellency Prime Minister Dr. Haider Al-Abadi has received, in his office today on Wednesday, Special Presidential Envoy for Global Coalition Brett McGurk.
They have discussed during the meeting strengthening mutual relation, political development, commending the Iraqi government reforms, efforts to boost services and economic reforms.

The Regional Director of the World Bank congratulated Dr. Al-Abadi on the victories and the liberation of Mosul, stressing the readiness of the World Bank to assist and support the efforts of the Iraqi government and its plans for economic reform and the advancement of reconstruction projects and development of Iraqi cities

His Excellency Prime Minister Adil Abd Al-Mahdi received, this day, The SRSG for Iraq Jeanine Hennis-Plasschaert, they discussed collaboration between Iraq and UN, the positive development which Iraq witnessed in the security, economy and the government plans to develop the economy sector, development, strengthening security, stability in the humanitarian field and IDP's issues.

US Vice President Mike Pence paid an agreed visit to Iraq during which he inspected his country's forces at the Iraqi base of Al-Assad in the framework of the international coalition that supports the Iraqi forces in the fight against Daesh.

His Excellency Prime Minister Dr. Haider Al-Abadi has received The United States Institute of Peace's delegation headed by the Institute's president Nancy Lindborg.
The delegation has commended the victories achieved against Daesh's and liberation of the land of Iraq from terrorism, as well as the Government's plan to repatriate large numbers of IDP's to their liberated areas, indicating that it was an important achievement that we did not expect to be done in that flexible manner.

His Excellency Prime Minister Adil Abd Al-Mahdi received the President of Russia Vladimir Putin's envoy Anna Kuznetsova, she conveyed to His Excellency the greetings of President Putin and the Russian government desire to strengthen the mutual relations of cooperation between the two countries.

His Excellency Prime Minister Dr. Haider Al-Abadi has met, in Davos, the heads of the largest international investment companies and major investors in various fields to mobilize support for Iraq before the conference on reconstruction in Iraq, to be held in Kuwait.
