On May 29, 2014, Ambassador Faily was welcomed for a luncheon hosted by the Potomac Exchange in Washington, DC.
Lunch guests represented broad-based sectors including financial services, manufacturing, technology, development services, defense, legal and conglomerates.
Ambassador Faily gave insight about business opportunities in Iraq and the need to strengthen the mutually beneficial economic relationship between Iraq and the United States. Guests of the luncheon discussed the importance of providing Iraq with enhanced information technology to encourage private and foreign investment and allow Iraq to keep pace with new financial services. Further, the availability of information technology tools would contribute to the streamlining of national institutions in Iraq.
