The Republic of Iraq’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Hoshyar Zebari, will outline Iraq’s strategic and diplomatic initiatives as they relate to critical global issues at the Center for Strategic and International Studies’ Statesmen’s Forum: “A View from Iraq and the Region” at 10 a.m. Friday, August 16.
Zebari has served as Foreign Minister since September 2003 and has a long career in international and domestic diplomacy. With the talk, moderated by CSIS Middle East Program Director Jon B. Alterman, Zebari will share his views about critical international issues as they relate to Iraq’s role within the Middle East and around the world. The talk will share Iraq’s diplomatic vision and priorities with U.S. government executive and legislative branch officials, foreign diplomats, academic and regional experts, leaders from the corporate community, and the media in Washington.
