Foreign Minister Meets with Foreign Relations Committee of the Dutch Parliament

Foreign Minister Mohamad A. Alhakim met with the Foreign Relations Committee of the Dutch Parliament.

Minister Alhakim discussed the latest developments in Iraq and the measures taken by the Iraqi government to meet the demands of the youth and maintain security, calling on the Dutch side to open new prospects for cooperation in order to promote the Iraqi economy and provide job opportunities through stimulating investment in the productive sectors, especially agriculture, industry and reconstruction of liberated areas

Minister al-Hakim also expressed Iraq’s view on Da’esh terrorist organization detained in Iraqi prisons stating that the Iraqi law and judiciary will have the final say in their cases, stressing the need to bring justice to the families of victims of terrorism in Iraq.

They also discussed regional issues of common concern to Iraq and the Netherlands.
