H.E. Prime Minister Dr. Haider Al-Abadi receives a phone call from the German Foreign Minister

His Excellency Prime Minister Dr. Haider Al-Abadi received, Today on Monday a phone call from the German foreign minister Sigmar Gabriel

During the call, they discussed the implementing of the order and the deployment of Iraqi federal forces in Kirkuk in addition to the process of stability in the liberated areas.

The German foreign minister renewed his country's stand-in supporting of Iraq's unity and rejecting the Kurdistan's region referendum, stressing that he had told Barzani that he would lose European support and support of Germany if he went ahead with the referendum process.
Noting that Germany is following up what is going in the Kirkuk.
"Everyone has to focus on fighting Daesh and stability of the liberated areas of Iraq," he added
Dr. Haider Al-Abadi said that the Iraqi government's action in Kirkuk was necessary to impose the federal authority according to the Constitution and maintaining the sensitive province because of the diversity of its spectrum and to avoid any conflicts may arise from these recent developments.
"There is an important role for Germany and the European Union in restoring the stability in the liberated areas," he expressed his thanks for Germany's efforts in the process of restoring stability in Iraq.
