Hill International, a global construction management firm with headquarters in the United States, announced that it has received a contract from the Iraq Ministry of Youth and Sports to provide design review and construction management services for the Al Samawah Olympic Stadium in Samawah, Iraq.
The new Olympic-sized and FIFA-compliant 20,000-seat stadium, is expected to have a construction cost of approximately $61 million. This marks the third sports stadium in Iraq whose construction is being managed by Hill.
Senior Vice President and Managing Director (Middle East) for Hill's Project Management Group, Mohammed Al Rais said: "The Ministry of Youth and Sports continues to show confidence in Hill and that makes me very proud of our team in Iraq.”
