The Iraqi Foreign Ministry condemns the Turkish air strikes on Sinjar areas within the civilian population
While the ministry rejects these attacks, it categorically denies any coordination between Baghdad and Ankara in this regard
The ministry also renews its invitation to Turkey to leave its forces to the Iraqi territories in which it is located (Baishika), considering its presence is contrary to international conventions and the principle of respect for mutual sovereignty
The depth of the relations and cooperation desired between Iraq and neighbor Turkey should be based on a unified vision in eliminating terrorism in all its forms, in order to preserve the lives of defenseless civilians and keep them away from areas of tension.
Dr. Ahmed Mahjoob
