The Embassy hosted on August 15 a delegation of officers from the Iraqi army, Ministry of Interior, Counter-terrorism Service and the Peshmerga after they had completed a training course in the Near East South Asia Center for Strategic Studies (NESA Centre) within the program of the National Defense University NDU. The trainees participated in sessions on national security, regional dialogue, security strategies and cyber warfare.
The joint drills between Iraqi and US security forces constitute an opportunity to exchange expertise, enhance skills and build capabilities; it is part of a continuous training program offered by NDU in cooperation with Iraqi security authorities.
