Ambassador Al Khirullah held constructive meeting with @AsstSecENR Geoffrey Pyatt @StateDept on July 20 as they discussed: upgrading partnership in energy sector between ; Iraqi gov priorities to increase production capacity; energy independence; benefiting from US technology in renewable energy; boosting partnership & exchanging visits & expertise between both countries.

The Atlantic Council hosted Ambassador Nazar Al Khirullah on July 26 in a seminar attended by a number of senior researchers and experts specialized in Iraqi affairs in Washington, where H.E. shed light on the priorities of the Iraqi government at political, economic & security levels, and the prospects for cooperation between both countries according Strategic Framework Agreement SFA, so as to achieve common goals and interests for Iraq & US .

The Embassy hosted on August 15 a delegation of officers from the Iraqi army, Ministry of Interior, Counter-terrorism Service and the Peshmerga after they had completed a training course in the Near East South Asia Center for Strategic Studies (NESA Centre) within the program of the National Defense University NDU.
