WASHINGTON, D.C. May 21 — Iraq’s Ambassador to the United States, Lukman Faily (@FailyLukman), responded to questions during his seventh Twitter Q&A, a platform he frequently uses to engage journalists and others in the international community to answer questions on developments in his country. H.E. Nazar Al Khirullah, Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to the United States of America presented his credentials to the chief of protocol of the United States this morning June 6 at the headquarters of the Department of State in Washington DC.

Prime Minister Mohammed S. Al-Sudani received representatives of research centers specialized in Iraq and the region at his residence in Washington. The meeting took place on the sidelines of his official visit to the United States.

Foreign Minister Mr. Fuad Hussein renewed his sincere condolences and sympathy to the government and people of Kuwait on the death of Emir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, and expressed his congratulations for Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah’s assumption of the position of Emir of the fraternal State of Kuwait, and the assumption of Sheikh Meshaal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah as Crown Prince.

The event for Dr. Barham Salih, Founder and Chairman of the American University of Iraq, Sulaimaniyah highlighted achievements of the university and its students.

His Excellency Prime Minister the commander of the armed forces Dr. Haider Abadi has confirmed the importance of not politicizing the Popular Mobilization Units, Indicating that the stories of sacrifice done by heroes of the Popular Mobilization Units and security forces must be documented.

This came during his visit to the Popular Mobilization's Assembly, while he has met with the officials of the brigades and directorates in the Authority, where he has blessed for the pilgrims on the occasion of Eid al-Adha and for completing their ritual, wishing them a safe return.
