President Barham Salih arrived in the city of Erbil, Monday, June 10, 2019, to participate in the inauguration ceremony of the President of Kurdistan Region.
His Excellency was received at Erbil International Airport by Messrs. Nechirvan Barzani, Qubad Talabani, and senior officials of Kurdistan Region.

As part of the U.S.-Iraq Business Initiative, the United States Chamber of Commerce welcomed Ambassador Faily for an event that fostered discussions of the enormous trade investment opportunities that exist between Iraq and the U.S.

In light of the Iraqi government's efforts to protect and preserve Iraq's cultural and historical heritage, the Embassy of the Republic of Iraq in Washington calls upon all Iraqis and friends to contribute to these efforts by handing over any Iraqi visual works (archaeological & cultural artifacts) whether original or replica, they may possess.
This call reaffirms the importance of our national heritage as an integral part of our cultural and historical identity, which requires all of us to work together to protect and preserve it.

As part of the around the World Embassy Tour event in Washington, D.C., within the Passport DC program, the Embassy of the Republic of Iraq in the United States received more than 5,113 visitors, providing a unique and distinctive cultural experience to its visitors.

A tripartite meeting was held in Baghdad on 4 August 2019 and included Foreign Minister of the Republic of Iraq, Mr. Mohamad A. The speaker of Iraqi Parliament urged the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) to remain committed to a federal Iraq.
Recognizing the importance of the KRG in attracting foreign investment and its role in sheltering an estimated 1.5 million internally displaced people (IDPs), Jabouri appealed for the KRG to consider their mutual interests and remain committed to a federal Iraq.

President Barham Salih on Tuesday, January 22, 2019, mourned the Iraqi Archeologist Dr. Lamia al-Gilani, who passed away at the age of 80, in Amman.
His Excellency lauded the prestigious status of the deceased and her distinguished efforts in the field of archeology.
