The U.S. Chamber of Commerce hosted a farewell reception on Thursday May 26th 2013 honoring His Excellency Lukman Faily Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to the United State. The U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s Iraq Director expressed his appreciation for the support of H.E. Ambassador Faily in developing the business partnership of both countries. The event included a farewell speech from H.E. Ambassador Faily to the business community upon ending his tenure by thanking the support of the chamber and its members, confirming that Iraq will continue to welcome U.S.

Into the Presidential Palace in Baghdad today, holding a meeting with Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu, President Salih stressed the importance of continuous coordination and joint work which would avert Iraq and the region the conflicts and the war. We don't want our territory to be a staging post for any hostile action against any of our neighbors, or be as a battleground for a proxy-war, he added.

Prime Minister Mohammed S. Al-Sudani Receives Family of US Humanitarian Aid Worker Killed by ISIS, Kayla Mueller

During his official visit to the United States, Prime Minister Mohammed S. Al-Sudani met with the family of Kayla Mueller, who was kidnapped by ISIS terrorists in Aleppo, Syria in 2013 while working in humanitarian relief and killed in 2015.
The family handed Prime Minister Al-Sudani a letter requesting the Iraqi government`s assistance in conducting an investigation that could lead to the recovery of their daughter’s remains, citing Iraq`s extensive experience in counterterrorism and knowledge of terrorist groups within ISIS.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Iraq welcomes President Trump’s new Executive Order, which excludes citizen of the Republic of Iraq from the previous Order.
This decision is considered an important step towards strengthening the strategic alliance between Baghdad and Washington in different areas of cooperation, especially in combating terrorism.

Foreign minister Dr. Ibrahim Al-Jaafari and the Russian vice president Mr. Demitry Roghozen headed the mutual Iraqi- Russian committee in Moscow, preparing to hold the seventh session of the committee activities on 2018.
