The guests were welcomed with Iraqi music, art, and various traditional foods as they were presented with Iraq's heritage and culture to indulge in and enjoy.

Iraq Accepts Repatriation of Five Precious Antiquities by Manhattan District Attorney’s Office

NEW YORK (January 18, 2022)—Iraqi Ambassador to the United States Fareed Yasseen today accepted five historic stolen artifacts for repatriation to Iraq after they had been looted over the past 30 years.

PRESIDENT MEETS WITH US CENTRAL COMMAND CHIEF, MCKENZIE

Meeting with US Central Command Chief General Kenneth McKenzie today in Baghdad, President Salih highlighted the need to develop friendly relations between Iraq and US in addition to coordinate and collaborate in the fight against terrorism.
Furthermore, he underlined that Iraq will not be a theatre of regional and international conflicts.
We, therefore, seek to build good relations with all states and we have no interest in being dragged into conflicts not of our choice and making, President Salih added.
