President Receives Georgian President

President Salih received Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili in New York City today, on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly meetings.
During the meeting, both presidents discussed further securing bilateral relations, as well as the importance of improving and broadening mutual cooperation in all relevant fields as befits two friendly nations.
Together, they also reviewed recent political and security developments in the region and around the world.

Ambassador Faily attends delivery ceremony of Boeing plane to Iraq

SEATTLE, March 25, 2014 -- Ambassador Faily participated in a ceremony at the headquarters of the Seattle-based company, Boeing, marking the delivery of the third Next-Generation 737-800 aircraft to Iraqi Airways. The ceremony included a high-level delegation from the Iraqi Ministry of Transportation and the Iraqi commercial attaché to the United States.

IN RESPONSE TO PRESIDENT SALIH’S BID, THE UNESCO AGREES TO RELOCATE ITS REGIONAL OFFICE TO IRAQ

The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) has responded to President Barham Salih’s call to move its regional headquarters to Baghdad instead of Amman.
The Organization announced the consent following a telephone conversation between President Salih and the Director General of the Organization, Ms. Audrey Azoulay, in cooperation with the Iraqi Ministry of Culture.

Al-Halboosi meets US House of representatives Speaker

The Parliament Speaker Mohammed al-Halboosi accompanied by a parliamentary delegation, met the US Speaker of the House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi.
