THE PRESIDENT, MEETING WITH TURKEY'S FOREIGN MINISTER, DISCUSSES THE RECENT EVENTS UNFOLDING IN THE REGION

Into the Presidential Palace in Baghdad today, holding a meeting with Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu, President Salih stressed the importance of continuous coordination and joint work which would avert Iraq and the region the conflicts and the war. We don't want our territory to be a staging post for any hostile action against any of our neighbors, or be as a battleground for a proxy-war, he added.

Al-Halboosi meets US House of representatives Speaker

The Parliament Speaker Mohammed al-Halboosi accompanied by a parliamentary delegation, met the US Speaker of the House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi.

‏The meeting discussed enhancing bilateral relations, activating parliamentary friendship committees and continuing joint cooperation in all fields.

‏The meeting affirmed the openness of Iraq to the international community to proceed with reconstruction and investment by attracting international companies, including US companies, as well as providing job opportunities for citizens and eliminating unemployment.

Foreign Minister Calls on his German Counterpart to Support the Removal of Iraq from List of High-risk Countries in Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing

The Parliament Speaker Mohammed al-Halboosi offered his condolences to the Iraqi people and the Islamic nation on the anniversary of the martyrdom of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him).
