Foreign Minister Mr. Mohamad A. Alhakim met with Lord Ahmed of Wimbledon, Secretary of State for Commonwealth Affairs and the United Nations at the British Foreign Office. The meeting reviewed the progress of bilateral relations between Baghdad and London and means of strengthening them to serve the interests of both countries.

Foreign Minister Mohamad A. Alhakim delivered Iraq’s speech at the Ministerial Conference to Advance Religious Freedom in Washington organised by the US State Department.
In his speech, Minister Alhakim stressed that the essence of humanity is the common factor among societies, pointing out that coexistence between religions in Iraq is a popular culture of the people, creating an environment of creativity in many fields, including literature, art and scientific research.

H.E. President of the Republic Dr. Barham Salih congratulated Sabean Mandaeans on the occasion of the Great Eid and the Mandaean New Year, on Wednesday's today, July 17, 2019.
His Excellency the President stressed, in a telegram on this occasion, the importance of promoting the values of love, brotherhood and participation among all components of Iraq and its specter, commending Sabean Mandaeans' role in building Iraq on the basis of freedom, equality and values of justice and democracy.

Iraq and EU strongly affirm their shared commitment to peace and stability in the wider Middle East and call for the de-escalation of the current tensions in the region, reminding that the risks and the consequences may affect Iraq, the region and beyond. H.E. President of the Republic Dr. Barham Salih met with the Lord Speaker of the British House of Lords Peter Norman Fowler while he was paying a visit to the House of Lords of the United Kingdom, in London, on Wednesday's today, June 26, 2019.
His Excellency the President commended UK's role and its supporting stances for the government and the people of Iraq in addressing terrorism as well as its contributing in building Iraq's cities, chiefly the liberated areas.
