Since the beginning of the crisis of the outbreak of the pandemic of Covid-19, the Foreign Ministry worked in cooperation with the Ministry of Transport to organize an air route to rescue Iraqi travelers stranded in countries where the pandemic has occurred, and we have also worked on forming crisis cells in cooperation with our embassies abroad to monitor the infected among the Iraqi communities, track their health conditions and secure supplies for their families to alleviate their suffering.

His Excellency Prime Minister Adil Abd Al-Mahdi spoke via phone with the Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, renewing his condolence and consolation to the Government and the People of fraternal Egyptian, sympathizing with the families of the victims of a train collision in the Ramses station in Cairo.

His Excellency confirmed that what happens to the people of Egypt affect the Iraqi people, praying to Allah for the victims of the tragic accident to hold them in his mercy, and wishing for the wounded a quick recovery.

During the meeting, which brought together the Foreign Ministers of Iraq and Turkey, Minister Alhakim and Minister Çavuşoğlu , who discussed issues of interest to the two neighboring countries.

Minister Alhakim stressed the importance and depth of the Iraqi-Turkish relations, which extend to great social, economic and political horizons stressing that the two countries must coordinate all efforts to overcome the obstacles that prevent the establishment of balanced and sustainable relations. Foreign Minister Mohamad A. Alhakim participated in the Foreign Ministers' meeting. The meeting discussed regional developments, issues of common concern and means of cooperation in order to overcome crises to achieve security and stability and to promote joint Arab action and serve the interests of Arab countries and their peoples.

Foreign Minister, H.E. Mr. Fuad Hussein, made a phone call to his Emirati counterpart, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, to congratulate him on the occasion of the election of the UAE as a non-permanent member of the Security Council for the period 2022-2023.

Foreign Minister Mohamad A. Alhakim delivered a speech at the 5th EU- League of Arab States Ministerial Meeting held in Brussels.

Minister Alhakim began the speech by stressing that the Arab countries are moving towards a positive partnership in crisis management and countering terrorism pointing out to the importance of bilateral cooperation between the EU and the League of Arab States to solve crises in Arab countries. Foreign minister Dr. Ibrahim Al-Jaafari concluded his participations in the ministerial meeting of the Arab League in its regular session 148 in Cairo.

Dr. Al-Jaafari stated at the conclusion of his visit to Cairo regarding Referendum of Kurdistan Region is a violation of the constitution and the vow we have to commit to.

President Barham Saleh accompanied by Foreign Minister Mohamad A. Alhakim attended the meeting with Prime Minister of Finland Mr. Juha Sipilä, in the presence of the Ministers of Trade and Culture on the sidelines of the LAS-European Summit in Sharm El-Sheikh.

The meeting discussed the bilateral relations between the two countries, economic cooperation and reconstruction, especially in the field of infrastructure and mutual support in international issues of common concern.

The Foreign Ministry strongly condemns the bombing of the Headquarters of the Popular Mobilization Forces brigade by the US forces, which we view as a flagrant violation of the sovereignty of Iraq, and a condemned act, which is rejected by all customs and laws that govern relations between states.
