Ambassador Faily joined the morning news program to discuss current conditions in Iraq after U.S. military withdrawl and also spoke about Iraq's upcoming elections.

Meeting with the Dutch Prime Minister, Mark Rutte today in Davos, Switzerland, President Salih examined bilateral relations.
The President and Premier Rutte highlighted the ways of improving their ties and joint cooperation.

President Barham Salih arrived in the city of Erbil, Monday, June 10, 2019, to participate in the inauguration ceremony of the President of Kurdistan Region.
His Excellency was received at Erbil International Airport by Messrs. Nechirvan Barzani, Qubad Talabani, and senior officials of Kurdistan Region.

Prime Minister H.E. Mr. Noori al-Maliki has arrived in the United States, where he will meet with President Obama at the White House and other officials in Washington to discuss the importance of the U.S.-Iraq relationship under the SFA; and the current challenges facing Iraq and the region.

President Salih announced that, unwillingness of the voters to participate in the elections anymore is a clear evidence of necessity to amend the General Election Law as it is an urgent national entitlement to build the Iraqi State, to reform its institutions as well as eradicating the financial and administrative corruption so as to promote freedom and democracy across the country.
