His Excellency Prime Minister Dr. Haider Al-Abadi has received a phone call from United States Secretary of State Rex Tillerson.
Mr. Tillerson has extended his condolences to Dr. Al-Abadi and the Iraqi people on the criminal attack targeting citizens in the Al-Tayaran square in Baghdad, stressing the support of the United States and the international community for Iraq in enhancing security.

His Excellency Prime Minister Dr. Haider Al-Abadi has met, in Davos, the heads of the largest international investment companies and major investors in various fields to mobilize support for Iraq before the conference on reconstruction in Iraq, to be held in Kuwait.

His Excellency Prime Minister Dr. Haider Al-Abadi has met a Saudi ministerial delegation, on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum in Davos.
The delegation consists of Minister of Energy, Industry and Mineral Resources, Minister of Trade and Investment and Minister of State.

Foreign Minister, Dr. Ibrahim Al-Jaafari, received US Deputy Secretary of State Mr. John Sullivan and his accompanying delegation at his office in Baghdad to discuss bilateral relations between the two countries to serve the interests of both countries.

His Excellency Prime Minister Dr. Haider al-Abadi has said that there were those who did not want us to win and for the people of Iraq to see this day, but the steadfastness of the Iraqis and their unity have dispelled their evils.
