Iraqi Foreign Minister Dr. Ibrahim Al-Jaafari met with Mr. Karim Khan, Special Adviser and head of the Investigative of Accountability of Daesh crimes. The two sides discussed the mechanisms of the investigation team and the ways to achieve its mission in Iraq.

Minister Al- Jaafari stressed Iraq's readiness to provide full support for the success of the team's mission, stressing the importance of cooperation with the Iraqi government.

Foreign Minister Mr. Mohammad A. Alhakim met with the Qatari Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdul Rahman Al-Thani, the two sides stressed the need to strengthen bilateral relations and advance them to serve the interests of the peoples of the two brotherly countries. They also discussed the most important regional and international issues of common concern.

Foreign Minister Mr. Fuad Hussein met with the US President’s envoy to Syria Mr. Joel Rayburn. In the meeting, the two sides discussed ways to reach a political solution to the Syrian crisis. The Minister expressed the Iraqi government’s interest in ending the ongoing conflict in Syria, resolving the issue of the displaced, and creating a safe environment for the return of the displaced to their areas of residence.

Foreign Minister Excellency Mohamed A. Alhakim received a phone call from his Turkish counterpart Excellency Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu congratulating him on his role as Foreign Minister in the new Iraqi government, stressing Turkey's keenness to develop bilateral relations and his readiness to cooperate fully with Minister Alhakim.

Foreign Minister Mr. Mohamad A. Alhakim received a phone call from the new British Foreign Secretary Mr. Dominic Raab.
Mr. Alhakim congratulated him on the occasion of his appointment as UK Foreign Secretary.
The two ministers discussed ways of enhancing cooperation in various fields, especially security and intelligence coordination and efforts to combat terrorism, and serve common interests Of the two friendly countries.

Foreign Minister Mr. Fuad Hussein received Mr. Karim Khan the Special Adviser and Head of the United Nations Investigation Team for the accountability for crimes committed by Da’esh.

During the meeting, a number of issues were discussed including, exchanging views on ways to enhance joint cooperation, maintaining contact with the adviser and his team in light of respect for Iraqi sovereignty, and the competence of the Iraqi judiciary to collect evidence to contribute to accountability of those involved, and to uncover and document the crimes of Da’esh.

Foreign Ministry organized a celebration on the occasion of International Women's Day with the participation of Foreign Minister Mohamad A. Alhakim attended by the Special Representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Ms. Jeanine Hennis-Plasschaert, members of the Iraqi Council of Representatives, and representatives of diplomatic missions and international organizations.

The Foreign Ministry summoned the US Ambassador to Baghdad Mr. Matthew Tueller who met the senior Foreign Ministry Undersecretary Mr. Abdul Karim Hashim Mustafa on the background of the air strikes on the Iraqi forces in Qaim which resulted in casualties between martyr and wounded, as well as an air strike on Iraqi military high-level leaders and friend targeted with their escorts in the Iraqi territories, which resulted in the martyrdom of the deputy head of the Popular Mobilization Commission , the martyr Mr. Jamal Jaafar Muhammad (Abu Mahdi Al-Muhandis), along with Iraqi martyrs and...
