Prime Minister Al-Abadi Receives Phone Call from U.S. Vice President Biden

His Excellency Prime Minister Dr. Haider Al-Abadi received a phone call on May 25, 2015 from United States Vice President Mr. Joe Biden. Prime Minister Al-Abadi and Vice President Biden discussed increasing support and training for Iraqi forces, intensifying air strikes, and expediting armament to the Iraqi forces. The leaders also discussed developments in the field of operation sectors. Vice President Biden renewed support of the U.S. Administration to the Iraqi government and its people to destroy Da'esh.

THE PRESIDENT, MEETING WITH TURKEY'S FOREIGN MINISTER, DISCUSSES THE RECENT EVENTS UNFOLDING IN THE REGION

Into the Presidential Palace in Baghdad today, holding a meeting with Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu, President Salih stressed the importance of continuous coordination and joint work which would avert Iraq and the region the conflicts and the war. We don't want our territory to be a staging post for any hostile action against any of our neighbors, or be as a battleground for a proxy-war, he added.

Iraq signed two loans from the ًWorld Bank

The Deputy Chair of the Embassy of the Republic of Iraq to Washington DC and the Vice President of the World Bank for the Middle East and North Africa signed, at the headquarters of the Bank in Washington DC, on Tuesday 20th December, 2016 two loans, first of which is at the value of ( $ 1 billion , 443, 820,000 ) to support the Iraqi investment policy, and the second is at the value of ( $ 41 million , 500, 000) to finance public projects.

Update on the Redeployment of Iraqi Security Forces to Federal Installations in Kirkuk Province.

In accordance with the orders of the Commander-in-Chief Dr. Haider AlAbadi,

commenced the redeployment of units of the Iraqi Army, CounterTerrorism
Service, Emergency Response Division, and the Federal Police
