Under patronage of His Excellency Prime Minister Dr.Haider Al-Abadi with presences of the Japan Prime Minister especial Adviser the State minister for foreign affairs Kentaro SONOURA inaugurated , today Saturday, the signing of Iraqi-Japan mutual agreement For the rehabilitation of the Al-Haritha thermal station (phase II) in the province of Basra at a cost of $ 195 million.

The agreement signed by the Iraqi side, Dr. Maher Hammad, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Finance and the Japanese side, Japanese Ambassador to Iraq Fumio Iwai.

At the beginning of the meeting, the French President welcomed the Prime Minister, stressing the great interest in this visit and expressed the common desire of the two countries to develop friendly relations and cooperation.
