President Barham Salih on Friday, March 8, 2019, congratulated Iraqi Women and women of the world on the occasion of their International Day.
In a message on the occasion, His Excellency asserted that the Women's Day comes this year as we remember the pioneering role of Iraqi women in the journey of life and their serious efforts to gain their legitimate rights to contribute to the building of the Iraqi society.

In the name of Allah the Merciful

H.E. Prime Minister Dr.Haider Al-Abadi has received, in his office Today on Wednesday, U.S. Assistant Secretary of Defense for International Security Robert Karem and his accompanying delegation.
They have discussed bilateral collaboration between the two countries and the current regional development in U.S. commitment to Iraq in post-Daesh.

We are closely following the developments in the Kurdistan region and the attacks on the headquarters of the parties as well as the media and attempts to cause chaos and disturbances in Erbil and Dohuk, which is detrimental to our citizens in the region and the general situation there, and call for adherence to the system and law and calm, and to not let political differences affect Kurdish citizens who are victims of these practices.

His Excellency Prime Minister Dr. Haider Al-Abadi has met a Saudi ministerial delegation, on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum in Davos.
The delegation consists of Minister of Energy, Industry and Mineral Resources, Minister of Trade and Investment and Minister of State.

His Excellency Prime Minister Dr. Haider Al-Abadi received a telephone call from US President Donald Trump, who congratulated him on the great victories achieved by Iraqi forces in liberating the city of Mosul.

His Excellency Prime Minister Dr. Haider Abadi has received EU Counter-terrorism Coordinator Gilles de Kerchove and his accompanying delegation.
His Excellency has confirmed his keenness to strengthen the security and stability throughout Iraq and particularly in liberated territories, assuring that the security forces did their national and humanitarian duty professionally until security file to be handed over the to the local police forces, Pointing out to continuing the training and the rehabilitation in order to increase the efficiency of security forces.

His Excellency Prime Minister Dr. Haider Al-Abadi has received, in his office today on Monday, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg and his accompanying delegation.
Dr. Haider Al-Abadi has welcomed the guest delegation, confirming the importance of cooperation with NATO to fight terrorism.
His Excellency has added that what we achieved it is a triumph victory against Daesh's terrorist's gangs, we must maintain it, eliminating terrorism's ideological and continue to pursue it, indicating that cooperation between Iraq and NATO is important in this field.
