"Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemns the terrorist attack in the city of Manchester. The ministry reaffirms Iraq's solidarity with the United Kingdom against all terrorist gangs and organisations that targets the safety and security of its people. The ministry extends its deepest condolences to the families of victims, hoping a speedy recovery of the wounded.

His Excellency Prime Minister Dr. Haider Al-Abadi , in his office on Thursday ,received The U.S. CENTCOM Commander General Joseph Votel and his accompanying delegation.

During the meeting, they discussed Mosul liberation operations, the victories achieved , arming and training of our armed forces in addition to the situation in the region.

His Excellency said at the conclusion of the forum that the enemies of civilization along with the history killed human just like Da'esh terroristic gangs in different parts of the Islamic world, and targeting its principles and thoughts and everything that related to humanity, stressing on the necessity of spread the culture of dialogue between civilization especially that all the wars in the world were because of the culture of racism.

Foreign minister Dr. Ibrahim Al-Jaafari said in a speech he delivered during the ancient civilizations forum in Athens, that Iraq is the first civilization in the world, and it is seven thousand years from now was the birth of the civilization in the world, it was in the Mesopotamia of southern Iraq from Omara, Nasiriya and Al-Basra and other regions.

I extend my greetings and congratulations to the Christian brothers in Iraq and the world on the occasion of their Easter celebrations, which coincides with the great victories achieved by our heroic forces against the terrorist gangs, wishing them happiness and a dignified life in a united Iraq , all its sons live and enjoy in it peacefully.

His Excellency Prime Minister Dr. Haider Al-Abadi , in his office on Monday ,received the U.S. Congress delegation presided by the U.S. Congressman Rodney Frelinghuysen , the Chairman of the House Committee on Appropriations

During the meeting, they discussed the latest developments in the battle of Mosul, the victories achieved, IDP's return and the stability of liberated areas, as well as cooperation between the two countries in the fields of economy, trade, agriculture, investment and water.

His Excellency Prime Minister Dr. Haider Al-Abadi said that Iraq achieved victories by Iraqis remarkable efforts and unity, which is the main secret of our strength, Indicating that we surrounded Daesh in the western Mosul , we will win over them.
This came during his Excellency speech at the memorial ceremony to commemorate the martyrdom of Martyr Muhammad Baqir al-Hakim, where his Excellency pointed out that Iraq lost a prominent figure and a brilliant name continued to work day and night to fight injustice and raise the banner of truth.
