واكد السيد الوزير خلال الندوة التي اقامها معهد السلام بواشنطن ان مؤسسة الدولة تعكس وجه المصالحة الحقيقية والتي تجسد التنوع الواضح بين ابناء الشعب العراقي بمختلف دياناتهم ومذاهبهم.

During the meeting, they reviewed the relations between Iraq and Britain, notably in the fields of trade and economy, as well as the need to expand these ties in a way that serves the interest of the two countries and achieves the aspirations of the two friendly peoples.
His Excellency lauded British support for Iraq, particularly in its fight against terrorism.

The Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq, Dr. Fareed Yasseen, participated in a seminar titled "Understanding the Iraqi Protests", held by the Center for Contemporary Arab Studies at Georgetown University.

Into the Presidential Palace in Baghdad today, holding a meeting with Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu, President Salih stressed the importance of continuous coordination and joint work which would avert Iraq and the region the conflicts and the war. We don't want our territory to be a staging post for any hostile action against any of our neighbors, or be as a battleground for a proxy-war, he added.
