Prime Minister Mohammed S. Al-Sudani hosted a luncheon today, at his residence in Washington D.C., with members of the U.S. Congress from both the Republican and Democratic parties. The meeting, attended by several members of the Iraqi Parliament from the official Iraqi delegation, focused on enhancing bilateral relations and advancing mutual interests.

حيث وافقت الجمعيّة العامّة لعصبة الأمم يوم 3 تشرين الأول 1932، على قبول العراق عضواً في عصبة الأمم بناءً على طلب الانضمام المُقدم من المملكة العراقيَّة آنذاك بتوقيع رئيس الوزراء الأسبق نوري باشا السعيد بتاريخ 12 تموز 1932، ليصبح العراق أول دولة عربيَّة تنضم إلى هذه المُنظمة الدوليَّة في حينها.

On Tuesday, September 17, 2019, the Council of Ministers approved the draft law that would create a Reconstruction Board. It will now be jointly submitted to the House of Representatives by the Presidency of the Republic and the Council of Ministers.
The draft law provides a framework for quickly launching major infrastructure projects across the country, including roads, bridges, airports, and seaports.
The draft law also aims at alleviating general unemployment by promoting investment, employing a wide array of capable individuals in a variety of different sectors.

Foreign minister Dr. Ibrahim Al-Jaafari and the Russian vice president Mr. Demitry Roghozen headed the mutual Iraqi- Russian committee in Moscow, preparing to hold the seventh session of the committee activities on 2018.

Both sides reviewed the bilateral Iraqi- Russian economic, commercial relations, and continue working on developing the legal and Regulatory basis for the bilateral cooperation between both countries, I addition to discussing the developed cooperation in industry and increasing the efforts in developing the cooperation in Oil and Gas.
