His Excellency Prime Minister Dr. Haider Al-Abadi receives the Regional Director of the World Bank

The Regional Director of the World Bank congratulated Dr. Al-Abadi on the victories and the liberation of Mosul, stressing the readiness of the World Bank to assist and support the efforts of the Iraqi government and its plans for economic reform and the advancement of reconstruction projects and development of Iraqi cities

His Excellency Prime Minister Dr.Haider al-Abadi said that corruption is no less dangerous than terrorism, indicating that confrontation with terrorism and the liberation wouldn't prevent us from reforming the economy and other institutions.

This came during His Excellency Prime Minister's speech at the Iraq Energy Forum held in Baghdad on Sunday, where he welcomed guests in the capital Baghdad, indicating that Iraq possesses enormous potential and promising opportunities, while the government keens to encourage the investment.

H.E. Prime Minister Dr.Haider Al-Abadi has received, in his office Today on Wednesday, U.S. Assistant Secretary of Defense for International Security Robert Karem and his accompanying delegation.
They have discussed bilateral collaboration between the two countries and the current regional development in U.S. commitment to Iraq in post-Daesh.

His Excellency Prime Minister Dr. Haider Al-Abadi has met Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Hariri, on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum in Davos.
During the meeting, they have discussed the development of relations between the two countries, the situation in the region and the means to solve it, in addition to the vision presented by Iraq regarding the future of the region.

His Excellency Prime Minister Dr. Haider Abadi has received EU Counter-terrorism Coordinator Gilles de Kerchove and his accompanying delegation.
His Excellency has confirmed his keenness to strengthen the security and stability throughout Iraq and particularly in liberated territories, assuring that the security forces did their national and humanitarian duty professionally until security file to be handed over the to the local police forces, Pointing out to continuing the training and the rehabilitation in order to increase the efficiency of security forces.

H.E. Prime Minister Dr. Haider Al-Abadi received in his office today Sunday the U.S. Minister of Defense Mr. Ashton Carter and the accompanying delegation.

The meeting discussed the operation of "we are coming Nineveh" and the victories achieved by our brave forces in the battle in addition to the stabilization of the liberated areas and arming the Iraqi forces.
