Foreign Minister Mr. Fuad Hussein discussed with the Canadian Foreign Minister Mr. Francois Philip the ways for promoting cooperation between the two countries in various fields, and expressed his appreciation for Canada’s stances in support of Iraq and bilateral cooperation in various fields.

Foreign Minister Mr. Fuad Hussein received a phone call from German Foreign Minister Mr. Heiko Maas.
The conversation focused on bilateral relations and ties between the two countries, and on the initial decision of the US administration to withdraw the embassy from Baghdad.

Minister Fuad Hussein expressed concern about this decision, despite it being a sovereign decision by the US side, but it may lead to results that are not in the interest of the Iraqi people.

Foreign Minister Mr. Fuad Hussein reiterated Iraq’s emphasis on the importance of establishing a Middle East region free of nuclear weapons and other weapons of mass destruction.

The Minister praised the efforts made to convene the United Nations conference headed by the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan in November 2019, stating that this step constitutes a parallel path to support international efforts aimed at establishing a zone free of nuclear weapons and other weapons of mass destruction in the Middle East.

Foreign Minister Mr. Fuad Hussein received the US ambassador to Iraq on Monday 28/9/2020 , and the two sides held discussions that focused on issues related to the security and political situation, and Iraqi-American relations in light of the circumstances the country is going through.

The Ministers also discussed mechanisms for bilateral cooperation on the political, security, economic, and cultural levels, as well as the entry of French companies to contribute to the reconstruction.

استدعت وزارة الخارجيّة سفير جمهوريّة تركيا في العراق فاتح يلدز على خلفيّة الخروقات والانتهاكات المُستمِرّة للجيش التركيّ، ومنها: القصف الأخير بطائرة مُسيّرة الذي طال منطقة سيدكان بمحافظة أربيل في كردستان، وما تسبّب به من استشهاد ضابطين، وجنديّ من الجيش العراقيّ.

Foreign Minister Mr. Fuad Hussein received the Iranian Foreign Minister Mr. Mohammad Javad Zarif, and the two sides held extensive discussions related to developing relations between the two countries, and ways to advance bilateral cooperation.

Minister Fuad Hussein praised the close historical relations, joint cooperation and unity of visions that bind the two countries, stressing his keenness to enhance and consolidate cooperation with Tehran in various fields in a way that benefits the interests of the two peoples.
