Update on the Redeployment of Iraqi Security Forces to Federal Installations in Kirkuk Province.

In accordance with the orders of the Commander-in-Chief Dr. Haider AlAbadi,
the Joint Operations Command of the Iraqi Security Forces
commenced the redeployment of units of the Iraqi Army, CounterTerrorism
Service, Emergency Response Division, and the Federal Police
to federal installations, military bases and vital infrastructure in Kirkuk
province in the early hours of today, 16 October, 2017.

IRAQI LEADERSHIP STRESSES ON ENSURING PROTECTION OF PROTESTORS, MEETING THEIR LEGITIMATE DEMANDS

The President hosted a meeting today at the al-Salam Palace on meeting protestors Demands.
In addition to President Salih, Prime Minister Adil Abdul Mahdi, Speaker of parliament Mohammed al-Halbouosi, and Head of the Supreme Judicial Council, Judge Fa'iq Zidan attended the meeting.
All meeting participates discussed the current political and security situations across the country, asserted the importance of setting a deadline for meeting protestors' legitimate demands regarding the reforms and combating of corruption.
