Foreign Minister Mohamed Alhakim stressed the need for Arab countries to fulfill their commitments in accordance with the decisions of the Iraq Reconstruction Conference held in Kuwait last year, and called on the Arab countries and the international community to provide the necessary funding for the implementation of projects related to the development of East Quds in Palestine and to protect it from Israel's attempts to change the demographics of the Holy City

Foreign Minister Mohamed A. Alhakim received French Minister of Europe and Foreign Affairs Mr. Jean-Yves Le Drian at the Ministry's Headquarters in Baghdad.
During the meeting, they discussed bilateral relations and issues of interest to the two friendly countries and the forthcoming visit of President Emmanuel Macron to Iraq.

Foreign Minister Mohamed A. Alhakim received a telephone call from the Arab League Secretary General Mr. Ahmed Abu Gheit, in which they touched on the last update on the Arab Arena and the preparations for holding the Arab Economic Summit in Beirut during this month, as well as discussing cooperation to enhance the relations between the Arab parties to serve the interests of the Arab countries.

His Excellency Prime Minister Adil Abd Al-Mahdi received US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo.

Confirmed on the importance of Iraqi-US relations, especially in the field of war against Daesh terrorist gang as well as cooperation in the field of energy and economy, Pointing out that Iraq is a democratic country witnessing remarkable development and keen on the stability of the region and the establishment of normal relations with Arab, friendly countries and all neighboring countries.

The Foreign Ministry supports the statement issued by the Office of the former Foreign Minister Dr. Ibrahim Al-Jaafari that there are no recommendations to exclude a number of ministry employees who are included in the law of Accountability and Justice.

The Ministry affirms that its recent actions in this regard come in the context of the procedures that the National Commission for Accountability and justice is conducting towards a number of Ministry employees according to the laws and procedures in force.

During the meeting, which brought together the Foreign Ministers of Iraq and Turkey, Minister Alhakim and Minister Çavuşoğlu , who discussed issues of interest to the two neighboring countries.

Minister Alhakim stressed the importance and depth of the Iraqi-Turkish relations, which extend to great social, economic and political horizons stressing that the two countries must coordinate all efforts to overcome the obstacles that prevent the establishment of balanced and sustainable relations. Foreign Minister Mohamed A. Alhakim reviewed the most important directions of the Foreign Ministry for the coming period during his reception of Iraqi journalists and media personnel’s from various media organizations in the ministry building and briefed them on the last period since assuming his post for the past two months.

Based on the brotherly and historical relations established between the Republic of Iraq and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan to strengthening the bonds of joint cooperation between the two fraternal countries, a meeting held in Baghdad on Saturday chaired by His Excellency Prime Minister of the Republic of Iraq Adil Abd Al-Mahdi, Prime Minister of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan Dr. Omar Razzaz and his accompanying large ministerial delegation in the presence of ambassadors of the two countries.

President of the Republic of Iraq Dr. Barham Salih received at his residence in Rome the Russian Foreign Minister Mr. Sergei Lavrov in the presence of Foreign Minister Mohamed A. Alhakim.
