The Embassy of the Republic of Iraq in Washington, D.C. repatriated three pieces of antiquity artifacts.

The delegation of the Republic of Iraq, led by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Planning Mohammed Tamim, and the delegation of the United States Government, led by Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken, co-chaired a meeting of the Higher Coordinating Committee on April 15, in accordance with the 2008 Iraq-U.S. Strategic Framework Agreement. On Tuesday, September 17, 2019, the Council of Ministers approved the draft law that would create a Reconstruction Board. It will now be jointly submitted to the House of Representatives by the Presidency of the Republic and the Council of Ministers.
The draft law provides a framework for quickly launching major infrastructure projects across the country, including roads, bridges, airports, and seaports.
The draft law also aims at alleviating general unemployment by promoting investment, employing a wide array of capable individuals in a variety of different sectors.
